At Hooman, we believe that great design begins with trust—and trust starts with transparency.

This page outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you interact with our site or services. If you ever have questions, feel free to reach out at hello@hooman.com.

What We Collect (and Why)

When you visit our site or reach out to us, we may collect personal details like your name, email, phone number, or project-related info. This helps us:

  • Bullet point
    Respond to your inquiries
  • Bullet point
Provide our design and development services
  • Bullet point
Improve how our website works and feels

We only collect what we need—and never more than that.

How We Handle Your Info

Your data is yours. We won't sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties unless it's:

  • Bullet point
Required to provide you with our services
  • Bullet point
    Required by law
  • Bullet point
    Clearly communicated and agreed upon

We use industry-standard security measures to keep your data safe. Still, no digital platform is 100% foolproof—so while we do our best, we can't guarantee absolute security.

Data Storage

By default, data is stored based on your location and project needs:

  • Bullet point
Canadian clients: Your data can be stored on Canadian-based servers upon request
  • Bullet point
International clients: Data location depends on regional requirements and best practices

Your Rights

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you. If you'd like a copy or need something changed or removed, just email us. We may ask you to verify your identity to protect your privacy.

Cookies (Not the Tasty Kind)

Our website uses cookies to:

  • Bullet point
Understand how people use the site
  • Bullet point
    Improve your browsing experience
  • Bullet point
    Spot and fix issues
  • Bullet point
Run analytics with third-party tools, including PostHog and Google Analytics
  • Bullet point
Measure our advertising with tools like the Meta Pixel

On our public website, analytics and advertising tools only run if you allow them in our cookie preferences. You can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer. When you allow analytics, PostHog may record session replays of your visit, with everything you type into forms masked.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly without them.

Hooman Dashboard

If you use the Hooman Dashboard (on the web, desktop, or mobile app), we record how you use it so we can make it better. This includes the pages you visit, what you click, how long you spend on each page, and the actions you take, like creating a task or posting a comment. Dashboard usage is recorded whether or not you accept analytics cookies on our website, because it's part of providing and improving the service.

On the web dashboard, PostHog also records session replays: a recording of what appeared on your screen and what you typed, so we can see where the experience gets stuck. Passwords are never recorded. Replays may include project and client content shown in the dashboard, and only the Hooman team can view them.

Dashboard analytics are linked to your account ID, not your name or email. PostHog processes this data in the United States. We never sell it or use it for advertising.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to keep it clear, relevant, and aligned with how we operate. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
